Is Three Points Academy accredited?

Yes, Three Points Academy has partnered with Alta Independent, an online school provider, who is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission through AdvancED.

Do I need to submit official transcripts?

No, we do not require official transcripts to enroll a student. Upon enrollment, an official records request will be submitted to the previous school in order to obtain academic records such as official transcripts and other important documentation such as an IEP if it applies.

What are Alta Independent’s graduation requirements?

A total of 24 credits hours are required for graduation. Credits may be transferred from other regionally accredited institutions, but at least six (6) credits must be completed through Alta Independent.

How do I transfer courses taken at Three Points Academy back to my local school?

Alta Independent provides students with a transcript for the work they complete at Alta Independent. Academic advisors will help students coordinate the transferring of credit from Alta Independent to their local school. The local schools decide how to apply those credits.

What are class sizes?

Average class sizes are maintained at a maximum of 9 students per group, except for students in the Boarding School which will typically not exceed more than 12 students at a time.

What are on-site courses?

While a majority of the courses students take are online, there are also on-site courses students participate in to earn high school credit. These courses include PE credits for daily workout, Horsemanship credits for participation in Equine therapy and work on the ranch, Community Service hours, and Work Study.
